What the document says
ED announced that it had provisionally attached assets worth Rs. 112.36 Crore belonging to Garvit Innovative Promoters Ltd., its promoter Sanjay Bhati and associate entities in the BIKEBOT scam. Among the immovable properties, worth Rs. 107.01 Crore, the release lists the “University, Land and Buildings of Arni University, Kangra Himachal Pradesh”, alongside flats and under-construction towers in three real-estate projects.
The investigation began on the basis of FIRs registered at Dadri police station in Gautam Budh Nagar. According to ED, the company floated investment plans from August 2017 in the guise of a bike taxi service. Investors could buy into 1, 3, 5 or 7 bikes for monthly rent, EMI and bonuses, with further incentives for bringing in new investors through a binary MLM structure. ED said the bike taxis hardly operated in the franchise cities.
This was the second attachment. On 20.07.2020, ED had attached assets worth Rs 103.73 Crores, later confirmed by the Adjudicating Authority (PMLA), New Delhi.

ED also reported searches at 16 locations, the arrest of one key person, Manoj Tyagi, against whom a Prosecution Complaint was filed, and a survey at a co-operative bank in Noida that revealed suspicious transactions. The release closed by noting that further investigation was in progress.
What employers and students should know
The press release is about the ownership and funding of assets. It says nothing about the academic recognition of Arni University or the validity of its degrees, and this page does not suggest otherwise.
