The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued an official Public Notice dated 12 August 2025 regarding serious violations by Monad University, Kasmabad, District Hapur, Uttar Pradesh in relation to the award of Ph.D. degrees.

🔍 Key Findings by UGC

  • A Standing Committee of UGC examined records submitted by Monad University.

  • The Committee found that the University failed to comply with UGC Ph.D. Regulations and prescribed academic norms.

  • The University’s explanations were found unsatisfactory.

🚫 UGC Decision

Based on the Committee’s recommendations:

  • Monad University has been debarred from enrolling Ph.D. scholars for five years

  • Debarment period: Academic Years 2025–26 to 2029–30

  • The University has been directed to immediately stop Ph.D. admissions
